Wildlife

For animal lovers we can recommend the following

Monkeyland is the worlds first free roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary. It's mission is to educate and foster greater understanding of our primate cousins and the threats and challenges they are facing.

Lawnwood's mission is to educate visitors about snakes in general, to promote understanding and to promote the conservation of these universally feared reptiles. Here you can see over 100 snakes up close. We recommend!

If you want to go on a safari in our region, you only have to drive about 25 minutes by car. The Big 5 can be seen in the Plett Game Reserve. A small but very fine safari park for the short safari trip.

Jukani's mission is to maintain and manage a sustainable wildlife sanctuary. You can hear these wild cats on our farm :)

Birds of Eden's unique two-acre dome (the largest in the world) spans a canyon of native forest. It is currently home to over 3,500 birds from over 220 species, with a focus on African birds.

Only 20 minutes away from us....

Knysna Elephant Park (established in 1994) was the first facility in South Africa to take in and care for orphaned African elephants. Over the past twenty years, the park has cared for and raised more than forty elephants. These animals include relocated animals, orphaned calves, and elephants rescued from slaughter.
